Art and Wine Workshop with Alexandria Coe
We collaborated with Artist, Alexandria Coe and Morgado do Quintao to create a life drawing class on an old drying platform, followed by an intimate wine tasting and three course Portuguese lunch under our 2,000 year old olive tree.
London based artist adopts her skills from her studies in textile design and illustration and now focuses on a simplified drawing practice as a root to connect with an authentic relationship with the body.
The aim of the session is to relax and find a positive way to look at the human body. The class will revolve around studying the naked figure, and learning how to explore the body with a simple approach and a minimalistic style of drawing, whilst combining a holistic approach to creativity with a traditional subject. The drawing practice will become almost like a meditation.
11am: Arrival & Mingle
11.30am: Alexandria Coe Art & Wine Workshop Commences
12.45: Gather to stroll to the olive groves where we will unveil the artwork that Alexandria Coe has created during her residency at Morgado do Quintão. Words from Alexandria to share the ideas, the process and the works behind the creation and experience of the residency.
1.15pm - 3.30pm: Take a seat at the table under our 2,000 year old olive tree overlooking old Negramole vines, and share a simple Algarvian lunch paired with our authentic , award winning wines.
